The DoSnapshotSet method may stop responding in the Exchange store, and a backup application stops responding on an Exchange 2007 server

Symptoms

On a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you use a backup application that calls the DoSnapshotSet method. However, the call may stop responding (hang) in the Exchange store because of an intermittent disk error. Then, when you try to use the backup application to call the AbortBackup method, the backup application stops responding.

This problem was first corrected in Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1.
