On a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server
2003 or Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, you may notice inaccurate queue
information when you use Queue Viewer in Exchange System Manager. For example,
you may notice thousands of messages in the queue or in the links to upstream
routing groups. However, you can find only 50 to 100 messages when you
enumerate the messages in the links to upstream routing groups.
Note You may also notice this behavior in a
third-party monitoring tool. Also, you may receive false warning
messages when the messages have actually been delivered.
