Previews of 2007 Office files are not displayed after you install a 2007 Office suite or program on a computer that is running Windows Vista

After you install the release version of a 2007 Microsoft Office suite or program on a computer that is running the release version of Windows Vista, previews of 2007 Office files are not displayed in the preview pane in Windows Explorer.

This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:

• You install a beta release version of a 2007 Office suite or program on a computer that is running a beta release version of Windows Vista.
• You upgrade the 2007 Office suite or program and Windows Vista to the release versions.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Click Start
   , click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
   
   
   If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
2. Type regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\actxprxy.dll, and then press ENTER.
3. When you receive the following message, click OK:
   DllRegisterServer in actxprxy.dll succeeded.
4. Type regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\propsys.dll, and then press ENTER.
5. When you receive the following message, click OK:
   DllRegisterServer in propsys.dll succeeded.
