Introduction

This article describes how to troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 System Attendant when it does not start. If System Attendant does not start, the other Exchange 2007 services do not start. To help determine the cause of this problem, you can use the Exchange Management Shell to run diagnostic logging on System Attendant.

To increase diagnostic logging by using the Exchange Management Shell, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, and then click Exchange Management Shell.
2.Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
set-eventloglevel �Identity "ServerName\msexchangesa\NSPI Proxy" �Level High
