Domino users cannot find meeting request attachments that are sent from Exchange 2007 users

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

In an Exchange Server 2007 and Domino Server coexistence environment, Exchange users and Domino users can send meeting requests to or receive meeting requests from one other. However, when Exchange users send Domino users a meeting request that has an attachment, Domino users cannot find the attachment.

Cause

The meeting request from Exchange server is processed as the iCalendar (iCAL) format and be transmitted in a MIME message. When Exchange Server 2007 generates the MIME message that has the embedded iCalendar object, it does not put the ATTACH property in the iCalendar object. However, Domino Server determines the presence of attachments by the ATTACH property in the iCalendar object.
