To work around this behavior, sort the PivotTable report by using one of the built-in sort options in Excel 2007. When you do this, the sort order will be retained when you update the PivotTable report in Excel Web Renderer. To use a built-in sort option, use one of the following methods, as appropriate for your situation.
Method 1: Specify the sort order
To work around this behavior, right-click a row in the PivotTable report, point to
Sort, and then click the sort order that you want to use.
Method 2: Use the AutoSort functionality
You can configure Excel 2007 to sort the PivotTable report automatically every time that you update the PivotTable report. To do this, follow these steps:
- Right-click a row in the PivotTable report, point to Sort, and then click More Sort Options.
- Click More Options.
- Click to select the Sort automatically every time the report is updated check box.
- Click OK to close the More Sort Options (Field) dialog box.
- Click OK to close the Sort (Field) dialog box.
