FIX: Internet Explorer 6 returns an incorrect IOleClientSite pointer when an inner frame dynamically inserts an <object> element into the DOM

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You create a Web page that contains an inner frame. The inner frame dynamically inserts an <object> element into the Document Object Model (DOM) by setting the innerHTML property of an element. The <object> element specifies a Microsoft ActiveX control to load. You open the Web page in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. In this scenario, the container for the ActiveX control returns an IOleClientSite pointer to the parent document instead of an IOleClientSite pointer to the child frame.
