This issue occurs if the bi-level or the grayscale TIFF image uses the PhotometricInterpretation TIFF image tag. If the PhotometricInterpretation tag is used, the Microsoft Office Document Imaging program interprets the image data based on the value of this tag. The PhotometricInterpretation tag uses the following values:
PhotometricInterpretation tag value | Description |
0 | Image pixels with the color value of 0 are imaged as the color white. |
1 | Image pixels with the color value of 0 are imaged as the color black. |
