More information

Machine Debug Manager (MDM.EXE), version 7.0.9466.0, is included in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft Office 2003, and a Microsoft Office XP post-Service Pack 3 release. By default, the debugging permissions have been enhanced to make debugging permissionsmore restrictive in Machine Debug Manager (MDM.EXE), version 7.0.9466.0. As a security enhancement, users who do not belong to theAdministrators group or to the Debugger Users group will not be able to debug scripts with the Microsoft Script Editor.

By default, the only member of the Debugger Users group is the Administrator who installed the application. Additionally, the Debugger Users group is only granted Launch and Access permissions to the Machine Debug Manager. We recommend that you add the users or the groups that you want to use the Script Editor component to the Debugger Users group as needed.
