Introduction

This article describes the Excel 2002 issues that are fixed in the Excel 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated June 17, 2004.

Issues that are fixed by the hotfix package

The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package, but they were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When you try to edit a SQL query in Microsoft Query (MSQuery) that connects to an Oracle database, you may receive a syntax error message. This issue occurs because MSQuery may incorrectly add a space in the SQL statement.

  • When you try to edit or to move a series name data label on a 3-D visual effect that is on an area chart, the data label disappears.
