POTENTIAL CAUSES:

1. The Control File does not have an extension of CTL.




Resolution - Verify that the Control File has an extension of CTL.

NOTES:

1. It may be necessary to change the workstation's file viewing properties to see the file extension. 

CORRECTION STEPS:
1. Change the extension of the Control File to CTL.
