FIX: BizTalk Server stops processing documents after a [DBNETLIB][ConnectionWrite(send()).] error occurs

Symptoms

Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 stops processing documents after an error that is similar to the following is written to the Application log (where BIZTALKSERVER is the name of the computer that is running BizTalk Server and where stored procedure name is the name of the stored procedure that was being called):

[0x80004005] The following stored procedure call failed: " { call stored procedure name( ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)}". :'[DBNETLIB][ConnectionWrite (send()).]General network error. Check your network documentation.'
Note When this problem occurs, you can restart the computer that is running BizTalk Server to resume document processing.

Resolution

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
