Symptoms

When you import the results from a Survey page in the *.iqy file format from a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services site into a Microsoft Office Excel 2003 workbook, you receive the following error message:
This list has hidden columns or read-only columns that require data but for which no default value has been specified. Existing rows in this list may therefore be edited, but new rows cannot be inserted.
When you review the imported data, data that corresponds to a ratings scale question is missing. Data that corresponds to multiple choice questions appears in the following format:
Choice #1;#Choice #3
Each of the multiple choices that were selected by the respondent is separated from the next choice by the ;# characters.
