XADM: Cannot Recover Deleted Calendar Items Folder

Symptoms

When you click Recover Deleted Items on the Tools menu in Microsoft Outlook to recover a deleted Calendar folder, you may receive the following error message:
Outlook was unable to recover some or all of the items in this folder. Make sure you have the required permissions to recover items in this folder, and try again. If the problem persists, contact your administrator.

Cause

This problem occurs when you try to recover a deleted Calendar folder by using the Recover Deleted Items option on the Tools menu. The problem does not occur when you try to recover other items such as a Mail folder or a Task items folder.

Resolution

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
