How to divide a large root Web into smaller subsites in Expression Web, in SharePoint Designer 2007, and in FrontPage 2003

Microsoft Expression Web, Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007, and Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 let you divide a site into multiple subsites. This process to makes it easier for you to complete administrative and authoring tasks, such as changing themes, publishing changes, and even finding specific files.

1. Open the Web that you want to divide into subsites.
2. Organize your content into folders in your Web.
3. Right-click a folder that you want to make into a subsite, and then click Convert to Web.
4. In the Changing this folder will cause pages in it to change dialog box, click Yes.
