The following settings are needed to use context digits in Microsoft Excel:
  1. Setting the Digit substitution to Context
  2. Setting the User Locale to Arabic (any country)
  3. Set the Text Direction in the cell to be Right-to-Left

The following steps will describe how we can apply these setting:
  1. Set the Digit substitution to Context, by following the next steps:
    1. Go to Control Panel
    2. Open Regional and Language Option (Regional Option in windows 2000)
    3. In the Numbers tab
    4. Set the Digit substitution to Context
  2. Set User Locale to Arabic (any country), following the next steps:
    1. Go to Control Panel
    2. Open Regional and Language Option (Regional Option in windows 2000)
    3. -In General tab, change your locale (Standards and Formats in Windows XP), to Arabic (any country), for example: Arabic (Saudi Arabia)
  3. Set the Text Direction for cells Select range of cells where you want to write Hindi numbers and do one of the following:
    1. In the Formatting toolbar menu, click the down arrow next to the Text Direction button. From the dropdown menu select Right-to-Left.
    2. From the main menu, click on Format and select Cells in the Text Direction list on the Alignment tab, Select Right-to-Left
