FIX: 5250 Client Displays ~ and } Incorrectly When Using Chinese Code Page

The 5250 Client (Win5250.exe) displays the following characters incorrectly when configured to use a Host Code Page of Chinese (935):

• A ~ (tilde) is incorrectly displayed as a } (right brace).
• A } (right brace) is incorrectly displayed as a | (vertical bar).

The Simplified Chinese (PRC) single-byte translation table (Snasbcs.tbl) contains incorrect character code mappings for the ~ (tilde) and } (right brace) characters.

Hotfix information

The global version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
NOTE: Because of file dependencies, the most recent fix that contains the preceding files may also contain additional files.
