Workaround

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Save the Themed Word Web Page to Your Web Folder

To save a themed Word Web page to your Web folder, follow these steps:
1.Open your Word Web page.
2.On the File menu, click Save As.
3.In the Save As dialog box, change the Save in box to your Web folder, and then click Save.

For example, change the Save in box to the following location:
\My Documents\My Webs\My Web\
4.If you are prompted that the file already exists, click Replace existing file, and then click OK.
5.On the File menu, click Exit to quit Word.
When you preview the Word Web page in your browser from FrontPage, the Web page now shows the theme background.

Method 2: Reapply the Theme

To reapply the theme to the Word Web page, follow these steps:
1.In FrontPage, right-click the Word Web page in your Web folder list, point to Open With, and then click Microsoft Word.
2.After the page is open in Word, on the Format menu, click Theme.
3.In the Theme dialog box, click the theme that you want to apply in the Choose a Theme list, and then click OK.
4.On the File menu, click Save.
5.Click Yes when you receive the following message:
This web page was created by another Office application and may contain information which will be lost upon saving in the current application. To preserve the initial web page, click No to exit this dialog, then save the web page under a different name.

Do you want to overwrite it?
6.On the File menu, click Exit.
When you preview the Word Web page in your browser from FrontPage, the Web page now shows the theme background.
