You can change the installation path for Exchange Server with the /disasterrecovery switch

Symptoms

When you run Exchange 2000 Server Setup with the /disasterrecovery switch, the default Exchange installation path may appear. This path may differ from the original path where Exchange was installed.

Cause

This problem may occur if the Windows registry was not restored from backup. The registry contains the previous path of the Exchange installation. If the registry has not been restored, the default path of C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr is displayed in the Install Path box. If the Windows registry has been restored from a backup location, the Install Path box contains the path that was used for the original installation of Exchange 2000 Server.

Workaround

To work around this problem, make sure that you specify the location of the previous Exchange installation in the Install Path box. To do this, click Change Folder.
