Symptoms


While receiving email from external web server, Hebrew characters may not appear and unrecognized characters

may appear instead.

Cause


Exchange mail system "Message Format" settings didn't set the "Character sets" to "Hebrew (ISO 8859-8)"

� or to "Hebrew (Windows 1255)".

Resolution


Please follow the instructions bellow to resolve the problem:


1. Open "Exchange System Manager".

2. Navigate to "Global Settings" -> "Internet Message Formats".

3. In the right side of the screen right on "Default" and choose "Properties".

4. Click on "Message Format" tab.

5. Under "Character sets" set "MIME" and�"NOT-MIME" settings to "Hebrew (ISO 8859-8)"

���� or to "Hebrew (Windows 1255)"

6. Press on "OK" button and close the "Exchange System Manager".


Tip: You can setup "Message Format" settings per domain, by using "Global Settings"
