How to add a built-in app to multi-app kiosk mode devices in Microsoft Intune

View products that this article applies to.

Introduction

To add a built-in app to multi-app kiosk-mode devices in a corporate-owned single-use (COSU) scenario you must install the app from the managed Google Play store, even though the app already exists on the device.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you have the kiosk devices enabled and configured in your Intune tenant as described in Set up Intune enrollment of Android enterprise dedicated devices.
  2. Find the app in the Managed Google Play store, and then approve it.
  3. Synchronize the app with Intune. To do this, sign in to the Intune Azure portal and select Client Apps. Under "Setup," select Managed Google Play, and then select Sync.

Note If you have already configured the device configuration profile, edit the profile by adding the app.
