iSCSI target can't be detected if connections use different authentication in Windows Server

View products that this article applies to.

Symptom

Assume that you set up two Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) connections to an iSCSI target. One connection uses Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) or Reverse CHAP for authentication, and the other connection does not configure authentication. In this scenario, Windows cannot detect the iSCSI target.
