Update KB 4074805 has been released as part of the Preview of Quality Rollups for .NET Framework for February 2018. Parts of this update were previously included in the Security and Quality rollup (KB 4076492) on February 13, 2018, in the Preview of Quality rollup (KB 4057270) on January 18, 2018, and as part of the Security and Quality rollup (KB 4055532) on January 9, 2018.

• All updates for .NET Framework 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, and 4.7.1 require that the d3dcompiler_47.dll is installed. We recommend that you install the included d3dcompiler_47.dll before you apply this update. For more information about the d3dcompiler_47.dll, see KB 4019990.
• If you install a language pack after you install this update, you must reinstall this update. Therefore, we recommend that you install any language packs that you need before you install this update. For more information, see Add language packs to Windows.

.NET Framework applications might experience System.Security.Cryptography.Xml.Reference.LoadXml exception errors after you install the February 2018 .NET Framework Preview of Quality Rollup updates for Windows 7 SP1, and Server 2008 SP2 and Server 2008 R2 SP1.

Because of this known issue, update KB 4073701 is no longer available from Windows Update, WSUS, or Microsoft Update Catalog as of February 23, 2018.
