Save issues occur when you use the plain Text Editor in OWA of Exchange Server 2013

Symptoms

When you use the plain Text Editor in Outlook Web Access (OWA) of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013, you may experience the following issues:

  • When you create a message, the message is automatically saved.
  • If you leave the new message after you save it, and then you return to the message later, the contents (recipients, subject, and body) are lost.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Save function is incorrectly called for the plain text body type.

Resolution

Exchange Server 2013

To resolve this issue, install Cumulative Update 20 or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2013.
