"User name not recognized" error when signing in to Intune NDES Connector UI

Symptom

When you set up the Network Device Enrollment Service (NDES) Connector for Microsoft Intune, you can’t sign in to NDES Connector UI (NDESConnectorUI.exe). You receive the following error message:

Cause

This issue occurs if the account that you use to sign in doesn’t have a valid Intune or EMS license.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, assign a valid Intune license to the account that you use to sign in. Or, sign in by using a Global or Company Administrator account that has a valid Intune license assigned to it.
