Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • The operating system of your computer is Windows XP.
  • You create a mailbox in Outlook 2007 on Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.
  • You have an additional mailbox (shared mailbox) configured in the outlook profile.
In this scenario, you can't send emails, and emails are stuck in the outbox.

Cause

This issue occurs because the shared mailbox logon session is using the primary mailbox connection when it connects to Exchange server. This causes the wrong server error when operations of primary mailbox connect to Exchange server while the session has a logon for a different account.
