2016 — Egypt cancels DST

Summary

Egypt has permanently canceled its observation of daylight savings time (DST). The DST adjustment for this year was scheduled to begin on Friday, July 8, 2016, at midnight (24:00). This change affects the following time zone.

To apply this update, you must have the April 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (2919355) installed on Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2. Or, install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. Or, install Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista and for Windows Server 2008.



There are no prerequisites to install this update on Windows Server 2012.
