Can't create a new profile or connect to Exchange Server 2013 when an organization contains many address lists

Symptoms

In a multi-tenant environment, you have an organization that contains many address lists (approximately 1,000). When you try to create a new profile or connect to Exchange Server 2013 by using MAPI-HTTP in your Outlook client, your attempts are unsuccessful. Additionally, you receive an error message that states that Outlook cannot open the mailbox.

Cause

This issue occurs because the dynamically allocated buffer is too small.

To resolve this issue, install Cumulative Update 14 for Exchange Server 2013 or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2013.
