Inserted Excel workbook object is resized when you print the PowerPoint slide in PowerPoint 2000

Symptoms

When you print a PowerPoint slide, an Excel workbook object that is embedded in the slide is resized, and the gridlines disappear.

Cause

This problem only occurs under the following conditions:
The Background printing check box is cleared.
The Print inserted objects at printer resolution check box is selected.

Workaround

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Select the "Background Printing" Check Box

1.In PowerPoint, click Options on the Tools menu.
2.On the Print tab, click to select the Background printing check box, and then click OK.

Method 2: Clear the "Print Inserted Objects at Printer Resolution" Check Box

1.In PowerPoint, click Options on the Tools menu.
2.On the Print tab, click to clear the Print inserted objects at printer resolution check box, and then click OK.

Method 3: Edit the Object in Place

1.Right-click the embedded Excel object in the PowerPoint slide.
2.On the shortcut menu, point to Worksheet Object, and then click Edit.
3.When you finish editing the object, click outside the object in any area of the slide.
