FIX: Very long URLs in an email message do not open in OWA in Internet Explorer

Symptoms

You use Outlook Web App (OWA) in Internet Explorer, and you click a URL that is contained in an email message. If the URL is very long, the webpage does not open. An example of a very long URL is a URL for a Yammer webpage.

This issue affects email messages that are located on servers that are running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, or Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.

Cause

This issue occurs because the secure signed URL filtering in OWA exceeds the supported maximum URL length in Internet Explorer.
