Summary

This article describes how to configure Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) transport so that an event ID 756 message is logged in the Application Event log. This event ID message allows Exchange 2000 administrators to monitor the number of non-delivery reports (NDRs) generated by the SMTP transport protocol. You can perform this operation after you apply Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later to an Exchange 2000 computer.
