Consider the following scenario in Inventory in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
When you do this, you notice that you can enter the same serial number for two receipts. The expectation is that the entry of the serial number on the second batch would result in a message like “The serial number entered already exists for this item.”
- You open Inventory Receipts (10.010.00) enter a receipt for an item, click the Lot/Serial button, delete the assigned serial number and enter a serial number. You release the batch.
- You open Inventory Receipts (10.010.00) enter a receipt for the same item, click the Lot/Serial button, delete the assigned serial number and enter the same serial number that you entered on the previous receipt.
