Symptoms

In Microsoft Outlook, when a delegate who is logged on to a manager's mailbox sends mail, the Exchange 2000 Server computer may not deliver the message. When the delegate is logged on to a manager's mailbox and attempts to gain access to the manager's Calendar, an out of memory error may occur.

Cause

This problem can occur if the manager's mailbox and the delegate mailbox are located in different information stores that are located on the same server. The Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) provider that is installed with Outlook (tested with Microsoft Outlook 2002) might not be able to determine which information store to contact.
