Inventory Replenishments does not take quantity on hand into account when you use reorder point and Centralized Distribution

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Inventory Replenishment in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You open IR Setup (41.950.00) and check Use Central Distribution Sites.
  • You process transactions for this item.  You enter purchase orders and receipts, create issues for the item, receive the item, and so on.
  • You open Inventory Sites (10.255.00) to view the Reorder Quantity:.

When you do this, you notice that the Reorder Quantity does not reflect the current quantity on hand.  It suggests that you have to reorder the item when there is actually more than enough quantity available currently.
