MS15-023: Vulnerabilities in Kernel-mode driver could allow elevation of privilege: March 10, 2015

View products that this article applies to.

Summary

This security update resolves four privately reported vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. The most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow elevation of privilege if an attacker logs on to the system and runs a specially crafted application that is designed to increase privileges. An attacker could then do the following:
  • Install programs
  • View, change, or delete data
  • Create new accounts that have full administrative rights
