Recurring events in Calendar over DST are not adjusted on all ActiveSync devices in all Exchange Server environments

Symptoms

Assume that you create recurring meetings in Calendar in a Microsoft Exchange Server environment. In case the Time Zone settings for meeting TimeZone are changed, all meetings over Time Zone changes dates are automatically adjusted as expected in Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web App, or Outlook Web Access. However, these meetings are shifted without changes on all Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync devices.

Cause

This issue occurs because the value of the PidLidAppointmentTimeZoneDefinitionRecur property that stores the Time Zone definition is sent and stored in the mailbox without adjustment when recurring meetings are sent to ActiveSync devices. At the same time, Outlook Web App or Outlook can automatically adjust the property.

To resolve this issue in Exchange Server 2013 or Exchange Server 2010, install one of the following updates:
