More information

Steps to Reproduce This Behavior:
1.Start the BizTalk Editor.
2.Create a new Blank Specification.
3. Create the following structure:

RootNode
Record1
Field1
Record2
4.Make sure that Field1 is declared as type Element.
5.Attempt to copy and paste Field1 to Record2.
When Field1 is pasted, the BizTalk Editor creates it as Field11. If you try to change the field name to Field1, you receive the following error message:
A field element or record with name "Field1" already exists in the tree. You cannot rename a field element to the same name as an existing element or record. For more information about creating a new node using the same name as an existing node, see Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Help.
