Symptoms

Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 is hardcoded for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) traffic encryption in Microsoft Exchange Server 2013, and new versions like TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2 are not�supported.

Cause

This issue occurs because Exchange Server 2013 was�originally�designed to handle only TSL 1.0.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install Cumulative Update 7 for Exchange Server 2013.
