Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Inventory in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • In Inventory Setup (10.950.00), for Decimal Places, you set Quantities to 4 or more.
  • In Inventory Issues (10.020.00) you enter a small decimal in Quantity: for an inventory item, such as 0.0003.

When you do this, you notice that the Inventory Issues batch is not balanced.  As an example, the quantity for the credit quantity might be 0.0003, and the debit quantity might be 0.0004.

Resolution
