You receive system message 15429 “There is not enough quantity on hand in this Warehouse Bin Location for this item" even though there is quantity available for the item

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Order Management in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You enter a sales order and create a purchase order from the sales order.
  • You receive the quantity on the purchase order.

When you do this and try to create a shipper from the sales order, you receive an error:

System Message 15429  “There is not enough quantity on hand in this Warehouse Bin Location for this item"
