Symptoms

You receive the error message that is shown here when you print a report in Microsoft Dynamics SL with Hotfix 24351 applied:

System Message 6201

Report execution failed. Error = 56029 Error Printing Report Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

This error occurs with the standard 02820p.rpt, 02820a.rpt, and 02820b.rpt but most frequently is seen with custom reports.

Cause

ROI uses the title from the Reports Summary Info to put a name with a report being printed. If the Summary Info Title property was empty, this error occurs.

Resolution

1. Open Crystal Reports and pull up report

2. Under File, select Summary Info

3. Enter something in the Title Field. The Title Field cannot be left blank.

The problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics SL Feature Pack 1.
