Users cannot access public folders after you upgrade to Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 3

Symptoms

After you upgrade to Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 3, users who run Microsoft Outlook on Windows XP cannot connect to Exchange Server 2013 public folders. Additionally, users receive the following error message when they try to open the public folders:

Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. Your profile is not configured.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install Exchange Server 2013 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2013.For more information, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
