Symptoms

Consider the following scenarios:
  • An administrator configures the Microsoft Intune policy so that the policy does not install the Microsoft Intune Endpoint Protection Client.
  • The administrator does not set the Microsoft Intune policy.

In these scenarios, the Microsoft Intune administrator console may display the following information:
  • On the Microsoft Intune System Overview page:

    System Status Endpoint Protection: No issues
  • On a Groups Overview page:

    Endpoint Protection Status: No issues
  • On the Computer Properties General page:

    Endpoint Protection engine: 0.0.0.0
    Malware definitions: 0.0.0.0
    Last successful full scan: No information available
    Last successful quick scan: No information available
  • On the Computer Properties Updates tab:

    Microsoft Intune Endpoint Protection is displayed as Installed
