Symptoms

When you create a new project in Microsoft Visual InterDev and point to an existing project (subweb) on the server, the application settings on the server revert from executables and scripts to scripts only. In addition, the application is changed from either the pooled process (Internet Information Services 5) or out of process, to being in the Internet Information Services process.

Resolution

Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
