How to adjust the App-V v5 Publishing Server Refresh schedule

Summary

By default, the Microsoft App-V Publishing Server contacts the Management Server to get the latest list of published applications once every 10 minutes. In a test environment, it may be desirable to speed this up.

More Information

There are two ways to speed up this cycle. 

1. Manually restart the "AppvPublishing" Application Pool in IIS.

or

2. Change the refresh interval in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppV\Server\PublishingService
PUBLISHING_MGT_SERVER_REFRESH_INTERVAL = 600 (default setting in seconds)
PUBLISHING_MGT_SERVER_REFRESH_INTERVAL = 5 (common value used for test environment)
