A data refresh on a table that uses an OData data source fails after you import an existing PowerPivot model

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a new BISM Tabular data model in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Data Tools by importing an existing PowerPivot model.
  • The PowerPivot model was created by using the Microsoft SQL Server PowerPivot 2010 add-in.
  • You try to run a data refresh on a table that uses an OData data source.
In this scenario, the refresh fails. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

The operation failed because the source does not contain the requested column. You can fix this problem by updating the column mappings.

More Details:

The '<ColumnName>' column does not exist in the rowset.

An error occurred while processing the partition '<GUID>' in table '<GUID>'.
