Catalog Error When You Shut Down XLANG Scheduler COM+ Application

Symptoms

When you attempt to shut down or start the XLANG Scheduler COM+ application, you may receive the following error message:
Catalog Error
You do not have permission to perform the requested action. If security is enabled on the System application of the target computer make sure you are included in the appropriate roles.
In addition, the XLANG tab may be missing from the properties of the XLANG Scheduler COM+ application.

Cause

If COM+ cannot authenticate the user who is configured in the Identity tab of the XLANG Scheduler application, all calls to the COM+ application made by this user will fail. This can occur when your network connection is down or unavailable.

Resolution

To resolve this error, verify all network connectivity and the availability of the IUSR_SERVERNAME security principle.
