System Message 904 'Insufficient Quantity Available' in Inventory Transfers

Symptoms

 Consider the following scenario in Inventory in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You have an inventory item with a positive quantity on hand, and a negative quantity available.
  • You open Transfers (10.040.00) and try to transfer the quantity on hand from this warehouse bin location into a different warehouse bin location.

When you do this, you receive this message:

System Message 904 Insufficient quantity available, please reenter.

Resolution

Hotfix information for Microsoft Dynamics SL
