Events 4999 and 7034 are logged and the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service crashes on an Exchange Server 2007 mailbox server

Symptoms

On a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 mailbox server, the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service (Store.exe) crashes intermittently. Additionally, the following errors are logged in the Application log:

Machine: Computer
Message: The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this XX time(s).

Note When this issue occurs, users cannot access their mailboxes.

Cause

This issue occurs because a string exceeds the buffer size when the Exchange server reads a row from the Exchange mailbox store database. Therefore, the Store.exe process crashes.

Note This issue only occurs when ExTRA tracing is running and the tagFindRow trace tag is enabled during a troubleshooting process.
