Assume that you install a version of the Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) filter driver that is earlier than NDIS 6.20 on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. After you install the NDIS filter driver, the following power management features of the NDIS compliant miniport driver are disabled unexpectedly:
- The Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) offload feature
- The NS offload feature
- The Wake on Wireless LAN (WoWLAN) feature
- Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4
- Third-party antivirus software
- Third-party firewall or network routing software
- The NDIS filter driver sample that is included in the Microsoft Windows Driver Development Kit (DDK)
